Balsam Forebay and Ely Mountain above Shaver Lake. 7:00 am meetup near Starbucks in the Target Lot on Willow and Herndon. Look for our FSC sign. Carpool from there just past Shaver lake for hike. 4.5 miles round trip, 700’ elevation gain on hike, so be prepared for a climb with at least 1+ liter of water, snacks. Fresno Ski Club’s "Day at the Lake". Saturday July 20 at 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Below the Shaver Lake Road 2 Parking area. $10 Paid entry per car. (At the kiosk behind the boat launch) There is a limit to how many cars are allowed in, so plan to arrive early Look for the red popup by the lake with the FSC banner on top. Come join the Fresno Ski Club for our annual “Day at the Lake” in Shaver, CA. Bring your Ski Boat, Paddleboards, Kayaks, Jet skis, lounging raft, floaties, etc. Whatever floats your boat! Appropriate PFDs are required for all boats and SUP’s. Your chairs and shade popups are also a good idea to bring. FSC will be providing BBQed hot dogs and Sausages, buns and condiments. Please bring a pot luck side, appetizer, or dessert and whatever you would like to drink. Cans and cups are preferred over bottles on the beach. DIRECTIONS TO OUR SITE - From Hwy 168, enter the boat launch and proceed to the toll both on the far side. After paying your entry fee, follow the road around the lake until you reach Road 2 on the right. Park in or near the lot at the end of Road 2 and go down the hill on the left to the edge of the cove. Look for the FSC sign and the red popup with our banner. Looking forward to seeing you there!
