Ski Trips

The Fresno Ski Club has trips planned for Winter Park, CO and Mammoth Mountain Resort, CA for the 2026 season!

Winter Park is known for its diverse terrain, including challenging runs and excellent tree skiing, especially at Mary Jane Mountain. The resort is also large, with over 3,000 skiable acres, and receives an average of 344 inches of snowfall per year. The resort includes 3,081 total skiable acres (1,246 hectares), includes 166 designated trails and 1,212 acres (490 hectares) of off-piste terrain, including Vasquez Cirque and glade skiing.

Mammoth is arguably the best resort in California with plenty of snow and 3,500 skiable acres.  Mammoth's lift system and terrain offers something for everyone's skiing/riding abilities.  The resort has scenic vistas almost anywhere you look, with beautiful trees and rock features that surround the caldera. It’s hard to grow tired of looking at the Minaret Range.  Mammoth truly offers terrain for all abilities, with everything from off-piste steeps to well manicured groomers.  If that is not enough, there is always June Mountain where you'll never wait in a line and enjoy even more breathtaking views.  Mammoth is one of Fresno Ski Club's favorite resorts and always a very popular trip.

Check the prices listed below under each trip.  Membership in the Fresno Ski Club is required to attend any of the trips.  Membership dues are $45 per single and $75 per couple/family. New members receive a $25 credit on any ski trip or other activities.

Winter Park - January 25 - 31, 2026

  • Skiable Acres: Winter Park 3,081 with a variety of terrain to satisfy any level
  • Vertical: 3,060’, Base – 9,000’, Peak – 12060'

The resort is often ranked high for terrain and snow quality, offering great conditions throughout the season. In 2018, Winter Park was rated as “Best ski resort in North America by USA Today readers, and then again in 2019.

More on Winter Park (from Powderhounds) - The Winter Park Ski Resort has two main interconnected mountains that have separate base areas; Winter Park and Mary Jane. Winter Park is characterized with terrain for beginners, intermediates, and park shredders. The Mary Jane terrain is more difficult and is pigeon holed as lots of single black diamond mogul runs. Mary Jane also has trees where you might find a little powder stash and solace from the bumps. As part of Mary Jane, Parsenn Bowl provides alpine terrain for strong intermediates, and Vasquez Ridge also has lots of blue runs. Vasque Cirque is peppered with cliff bands, providing short pitches of alpine “extreme terrain” in the form of chutes and other treats.

More on Mammoth (from Powderhounds) - Mammoth Mountain CA is a delightful mixed bag. Founded by Dave McCoy back in the 40s and 50s, Mammoth Ski Resort has retained some of its historic charm but you can also be assured of a top class lift system and a modern, well-serviced resort. The nearby town of Mammoth Lakes is refreshingly simple with a small town feel and not a whiff of pretentiousness. Even the celebrities and well-heeled Los Angeles folks that visit on the weekends seem to blend into the low key vibe of the place.
